Pastor Nicholas Lilienthal
Nicholas John Lilienthal was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Gene and Cynthia Lilienthal. He grew up as the third of four children in Luverne, Minnesota and Brownsburg, Indiana, graduating Brownsburg High School in 2011. From there, he went to Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater in 2015. Nick entered Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary in 2018. He spent his vicar year at Grace Lutheran Church in Weston, Ohio. Nick was ordained on July 9, 2022 at the dual parish of Christ Lutheran Church in Sutherlin, Oregon and Resurrection Lutheran Church in North Bend, Oregon, where he served for three years. On April 13, 2025 (Palm Sunday), Nick received a call to Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Bowling Green Ohio; he accepted the call on May 11, 2025, and was installed as pastor of Abiding Word Lutheran Church on July 6, 2025.
